My Pipe Dream
When I was growing
up in Montana, I dreamed of being in movies, I wanted to be an archaeologist
or a write....I just wanted to do something creative. I was in plays
growing up, musicals, pep band, debate team, speech competitions, etc.
I took voice lessons, acting classes...traveled over an hour each way
to the city to be in plays and musicals there. I read every book on
archaeology in the local library. And all the while I couldn't wait
to leave Choteau to make my mark. But my mom and my guidance counselor
told me that my dreams weren't very prudent, "not practical".
They called them all pipe dreams and they convinced me that I would
be a better secretary. And so I went to one year of college and promptly
dropped out.
But now, after
lots of changes in my life, I'm enjoying the creative process
again. About three years ago I started making music videos for
my favorite TV show, Farscape. There is a great audience out there
for them. I've made quite a number of Farscape vids, a video for
the TV show, Roswell, and I just finished my third music video
for the television show, Alias. I've also made some videos of
my kids that are fun to watch, but don't have enough server space
for them right now. When I do I'll get them online.
Most of my videos have been really well received by those who
see them and that just makes me want to make more.

Video Story: The beginning of this vid says it all...a group
of friends, thrown together by destiny, have one wish for each
other....to find peace. So together they take one final chance,
and journey into the heart of the enemy to deliver a fatal blow
that will hopefully win them the peace they seek. Told from a
third person view of the entire cast of Farscape, this vid features
scenes through the end of season four, but it has a happy ending.
The one I would have liked to have seen for season four.

Video Story: Crais was the evil, archnemesis of Crichton
thoughout most of season one. We loved to hate him, and
even more so when he stole Talyn from his mother. But
then Crais, ousted from the Peacekeeper ranks, slowly developed
into a somewhat heroic, sympathetic character. In the
end, Crais makes the ultimate sacrifice for Talyn, Crichton
and the rest of Moya's crew.

Video Story: I've always loved this song by Bree Sharp
and the more I listened to the song and watched season 3 of
Alias with Lauren, the more the two began to match up.
Lauren treated Vaughn terribly and used him to "get her
way." And in the end, of this vid anyway, she gets
away. This video contains spoilers through the season
3 episode, "Blood Ties."

soul who was used by the Convenant, married the evil Lauren
only to find out the girl of his dreams was still alive.
He's pined for Syd most of season 3 and near the end, lost his
cool, and almost lost his true love. He's trying to figure
himself out, get over what Lauren did to him and move forward
with Syd. This video contains spoilers through the final
episode of season 3.

Video Story: This video features John and Aeryn through
the Peacekeeper Wars miniseries. It's told from Aeryn's
point of view. Her entire life was built around being a
Peacekeeper and then she meets John Crichton. As she tells
him in the mini "You ruined my life." And yet,
I don't think she means that in a negative sense. Meeting
him changed her life, she learned to love, to fight for
what she believes in, to cherish the idea of getting married
and now she's going to have a baby, something she might
never have done had she stayed a Peacekeeper. She had everything
that she knew about life taken away from her and what she
got was more than she could have ever imagine. "Three
is not such a scary number." |
